My mom is not writing on her blog because of medical issues. So I, her oldest daughter Shanice, will be writing for her. On this day around ten or eleven o’clock p.m. my mother collapsed outside of her car coming from the store. My father and I had to transport her from outside on the ground into the house. My sister Mya called the police, we had no response from her as we called out her name. She was still breathing, but her heart was racing in a weird way. My mom was shaking uncontrollably; while that was happening, I was getting wet rags for my father and me to wipe the dirt off her. My father left to go outside to find her papers and prescriptions’ that she had gotten from the doctors office earlier. While he was doing that, I had to hold my mom down while she was shaking uncontrollably. I was crying and scared for my mother’s life. My father came back without the stuff, he could not find it so I had to go look. As I walked past her, my father was holding her down and suddenly her eyes flew open. She stopped shaking for a while then she started shaking again. Although, she was still not responding. I found her prescriptions’ and gave them her medicine. When the ambulance came in to the house one thing I did notice was when the man put his hand on her chest, he had said that she had a fractured heart. When the ambulance raced to the hospital so did we. When I say we I include my father, and his other two kids, my sister, her dad, and I. I thought for sure that this horrible disease was taking my mother away from me, but that was not the case. I found out that my mother had blacked out, and had three seizures on this day. My mother truly lives up to her motto, and I believe she does it for us. Hopefully she will be out of the hospital soon. Bye, and for all you out there take care.

Hi! I heard of this disease for the first time on American Top Model. Looking at the model witch had the diseases I did not thing it was a bad thing. I did some research to know a little more about it. I was very surprise to find that it is a very debilitating illness. Thank you for sharing your experience and the work you are doing for its awareness. Every little bit count.
